Run Quiz on Presenter pace with a timer

By default, a Quiz runs on Presenter pace with a 10-second timer for answering each question. You can set the timer to run for up to 60 seconds. You select the duration of the timer when you Create a Quiz. When the timer for voting on a question runs out, the live results display for 10 seconds, and the answer is then automatically revealed for another 10 seconds. The audience automatically moves to the next question together. 

The Audience Web App is synchronised with the Projector Panel and Admin Panel. All interfaces show the same question at the same time. The countdown for the question also displays on the Audience Web App and the Projector Panel. 

You can also Run a Quiz on Presenter pace without a timer or Run a Quiz on Audience pace.

Quiz flow 

1. When your participants are ready, select Start Quiz in the Admin Panel or Projector Panel.

   Tip:  Check the live count of participants in your Quiz session to help you decide if your participants are ready.

   

2. The Quiz runs automatically according to the timer that is set for it. The system begins to move your audience through the Quiz.
3. Participants must answer each question before the timer reaches 00:00.
   

4. When the timer for a question runs out, the live results display for 10 seconds. The answer is then revealed for another 10 seconds. If you need more time to explain the answer, you can pause the Quiz. To do this, select Pause at the top-right of the screen. When you’re ready to continue, select the same button, which will say Resume.

   

5. After the correct answer displays for 10 seconds, the Leaderboard shows how individual participants fared on the question. You can also Pause the Quiz on the Leaderboard screen.

   

6. Participants automatically advance to the next question when the timer for displaying the Leaderboard for the current question runs out. 
7. When the Quiz finishes, the results display on the Project Panel and Admin Panel. Participants see their individual scores in the Audience Web App. For details, see Scoring and results.

Participating in a Quiz session

1. When the Admin or Presenter select Start Quiz, the first question displays on the Audience Web App. Participants have a few seconds to read and think about the question before voting opens. A countdown for voting time also displays. 

2. Voting opens. Participants can cast their votes by selecting an answer. The amount of time remaining to vote displays below the answers.

   

3. When time is up, if they selected the correct answer, they see the message “Well done! You got the correct answer.”

   

4. The choices display, and the correct answer is marked with a green checkmark.

   

5. The participant’s Rank, Score, and time taken to complete questions display.

   

6. The next question and the countdown to voting display.

   

7. After the last question has been answered, the participant’s Rank, Score, and Total Time display.

   

8. A summary of the participant’s Quiz results displays. It shows their answer for each question and the correct answer.
