Create a Quiz Interactivity

A Quiz can be a fun activity, or a way to test learning during a meeting or training. This article shows you how to add a new Quiz Interactivity to a Presentation.

Before you start, review the article About Quiz.

Step 1: Add the Quiz

  1. Start a Presentation Pigeonhole by following Steps 1-2 in Create a Presentation Pigeonhole.
  2. If the Quiz is the first Interactivity you’re adding to the Presentation, select the Quiz card.

If you already added other interactivities, select Add interactivity > Quiz.

  1. In the right sidebar, enter the Quiz name.

Step 2: Add the questions

  1. Click inside the Question field or select the pencil icon. 
    The Quiz question page opens.
  2. Enter the question in the Question field.
  3. Under Options, enter a set of answers for the question. You must enter at least two possible answers for each question. Mark one correct answer by selecting the checkbox next to it.
  4. Select a Projector chart type. The options are Vertical bar chart (default), Horizontal bar chart, and Pie chart. You can only choose one chart type for each question.
  5. Select Done. Or, to add another Quiz question, select Add question.

Step 3: Configure settings

  1. Set the Quiz pace. The choices are: 
    • Presenter Pace (default): Participants move to the next question together. They have 10 seconds to answer each question by default, but you can set the timer to run for up to 60 seconds.
    • Audience Pace: Participants vote on questions at their own pace.

  2. (Optional) Configure advanced settings as needed:
    • Anonymous responses: When disabled (default), participants are asked to create a profile when submitting answers. The organiser can identify participants who submitted answers. When enabled, participants are not identified in the answers they post in the Audience Web App, Panels, and Insights. 
    • Leaderboard: At the end of the Quiz, shows a leaderboard with the winner and the participants’ scores. 
    • Participants can change their vote: Enables participants to edit their votes after submitting them.
    • Reactions: Enables participants to use emojis to react to moments in your live events, live streams, and on-demand videos. Available for plans with Reactions enabled.

Step 4: Save your work

When you’re finished, select Save changes to save the Quiz Interactivity.

Step 5: Test the Interactivity

Open the Audience Web App and Projector Panel to view it from the perspective of your audience, or practise running your Interactivity as an assistant with the Admin Panel

If you’re on a paid plan, you can clear your own responses after you complete testing. Hover over the card for the Interactivity and select the “More options” menu (…) > Clear responses.
