Available for all plans
When using the Pigeonhole Live add-ins in presentation apps such as Google Slides and Microsoft PowerPoint, Presenters can present a Pigeonhole session slide in their deck, and their audiences will be automatically redirected to the same session on their mobile devices, upon joining the session. This allows attendees to be on the same page as the Presenter and prevents attendees from being lost or being distracted from the presented session.
Note: Automatic redirection is only available for Presentation Apps. For manual redirection outside of the Presentation Apps, refer to:
- Using Session Cast on the Admin Panel
- Casting a session on the Pigeonhole Live app for Zoom
- Casting a session on the Pigeonhole Live Webex App
Automatic redirection only affects the Audience Web App, and does not redirect other users on the Admin Panel, Moderator Panel, Projector Panel, and Kiosk.
How does automatic redirection work?
- Have at least 1 Pigeonhole Live slide in your presentation deck
- Launch Presentation/Slideshare mode
- When the presentation is on a Pigeonhole Live session slide, audiences in the session group will be redirected to the currently presented session
This is most useful for events/presentations where Presenters have a set group of audience members, and want to have interactive sessions within their presentations, like having Quizzes, or to hold a Poll and discuss Poll results.
Requirements
- Redirection happens on a session group basis
To illustrate:
In the following example, there are two session groups: Session group 1: Q&A 1, Poll 1, Chat 1 and Session group 2: Q&A 2, Poll 2, and Chat 2.
A Presenter is currently on a slide with Poll 1. All participants in Q&A 1 and Chat 1 will be redirected to Poll 1.
Participants who are in the Agenda page, Q&A 2, Poll 2, and Chat 2 will not be affected.
This is most useful when there are separate, concurrent events happening. Presenters can use their own session groups to separate their content, presentation, audience, and post-event insights.
