Here are answers to Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ) on the Pigeonhole Live app for Microsoft Teams.

Is Single Sign-On (SSO) supported in this app integration?

Yes, Single Sign-On is supported when logging into your Pigeonhole Live Workspace on Microsoft Teams.

However, Single Sign-On for attendees is not supported at the moment.

If I add the Pigeonhole Live app to my channel, will it be installed on all my team members' personal chat?

No, if you selected "Add to team" the Pigeonhole Live app will only be added to the channel. Team members in the channel will be able to see the Pigeonhole Live message extension as well as the tab. Team members can use the message extension to create Q&As, but they will have to sign-in to their Pigeonhole Live account first. Only after they have signed in to the Pigeonhole Live account, the Pigeonhole Live app will be added to their personal chat as well.

If you selected "Add" then the Pigeonhole Live app will only be added to your personal chat, and only you will be able to see the message extension in the team channel. Team members in the channel will only be able to see the Pigeonhole Live message extension after you have created and shared your first Q&A in the channel. You will also have to manually add the Pigeonhole Live tab in the channel.

If my team members don’t add the Pigeonhole Live app, will they be able to participate in the Q&As I create and share?

Yes, your team members will still be able to participate in the Q&As you create and share with them. They can ask and vote on questions without having to sign in to their Pigeonhole Live account. They can also access the Pigeonhole Live tab and participate in any Q&As, Polls, and Quizzes you have shared there.

What happens if the Pigeonhole Live app is uninstalled by a team member?

If the Pigeonhole Live app is deleted from the channel, then everyone in the channel will lose access to the app. Refer to this article to understand how to delete the app from a channel. However, if a user removes the app from their personal chat, then team members in the channel will still have access to the app and can continue to use it.

Can the Pigeonhole Live app be blocked by Channel Admins?

Yes. Please note that team admins can block all apps (whether published by Microsoft or third-party providers). Learn more about Microsoft Teams' app permission policies

How do I change the Workspace or Subscription plan used to create Q&As on Microsoft Teams?

You will have to delete the Pigeonhole Live app and reinstall it in your channel. Refer to this guide.

Can I enforce my custom Pigeonhole Settings on the Pigeonhole Live app in Microsoft Teams?

Yes, any Pigeonhole Setting you enforce on the Workspace will be applied to the app integration.

Are Q&A comments supported?

No, adding comments to questions is not supported within our Microsoft Teams app. You can, however, add and read comments when you open this in a tab in your channel.

Is Q&A moderation supported?

No, moderation of questions submitted by team members is not available directly on Microsoft Teams at the moment. We are looking to support this in the future.

However, you can enable moderation on your Pigeonhole Live Admin Panel for Q&As created in Microsoft Teams. You can then moderate questions submitted by your team in the channel from the Admin Panel.

Will the creation of Polls and Quizzes within Microsoft Teams be supported?

At the moment, you can only create Q&As in Microsoft Teams. However, we are looking to expand the support for more interactive formats in Microsoft Teams in the near future. In the meantime, you can create Polls and Quizzes in your Pigeonhole Live Workspace and share them with your team using pinned tabs in your channel.
