Showing a Presentation Pigeonhole

With a Presentation Pigeonhole, the Audience Web App shows the same Interactivity as the Projector Panel. Attendees can’t go to other slides on their own. This flow boosts audience engagement, focus, and utility. You can be confident the audience is seeing exactly what you're talking about, leading to a smoother delivery.

By default, participants can view and engage with interactivities in the Audience Web App as long as:

  • The Presentation Pigeonhole is in Active status (which remains the case until the set End Date)
  • Polls are set to Shown (the default setting)
  • Q&A interactivities are pinned (the default setting)

However, you can hide an Interactivity until you present it live. For example, you might want to hide a Quiz or Assessment.

For more information, see Present a Presentation Pigeonhole.

Status

By default, a Presentation Pigeonhole is Active when you create it. The interactivities are shown and accessible in the Audience Web App. This lets participants engage with questions or surveys right away. This functionality is ideal for:

  • Collecting questions before you present
  • Gathering final survey responses after you present

The status of a Presentation Pigeonhole switches to Ended after a set period of time. When this occurs, it becomes inaccessible to the audience but remains editable. To restore access, simply change the end date. All interactivities share the same status as the Pigeonhole.

The default active periods are:

  • Basic plans: 30 days
  • Paid plans: 90 days

You can change the end date for a Presentation Pigeonhole manually.

About sharing

If you plan to co-present or receive help managing your talk, share the Pigeonhole with an assistant. Your colleague or assistant can then help manage the flow and audience interaction.

Limitations

By design, the Presentation Pigeonhole doesn’t support the following features:

  • Adding speakers or tracks
  • Nesting interactivities
  • Agenda page
  • Moderator Panel

There are also a few limitations during the Beta period:

  • Data isn’t tracked in Workspace Analytics.
  • The Presentation Pigeonhole is not supported on the dedicated meeting apps for Zoom, Microsoft Teams, and Webex.
