Get notified of new activities in your Event Pigeonhole by email

You can opt to receive email updates whenever your Pigeonhole has new activity, such as receiving a new question or comment. This ensures that you never miss important engagement from your audience, even if you are not actively monitoring the Pigeonhole.

Email notifications are especially valuable for Pigeonholes that run over several days or weeks, as they allow you to stay informed about audience participation regularly. This means that you can respond promptly to questions, address comments while they are still relevant, and keep the conversation flowing without constant check-ins.

Note that this feature is only for Event Pigeonholes. 

How to receive activity notifications for a Pigeonhole

In your dashboard, look for the envelope icon, which will be available if your Pigeonhole event contains an applicable session(s) for notification. 

1. Hover on the icon, and click to quickly opt in for Daily notifications.  
2. Alternatively, click on More options (3 dot icon) and select Activity notifications.
    

You can then select the frequency of email updates you prefer. 

You will be subscribed to all applicable sessions in the Pigeonhole. 

How to opt out of activity notifications for a Pigeonhole

A Pigeonhole event with notifications enabled will have an envelope icon with a green check mark. 

To opt out of notifications, simply click on the same icon.

Manage your activity notifications 

To get an overview of all the notifications you are subscribed to, head to your Account settings in the top right corner of your dashboard.

Under the Pigeonhole Activity Notifications section, you can find a list of all the Pigeonhole events that you have enabled notifications for. You can change the frequency of these emails here, as well as opting out of receiving activity notification emails.

Commonly Encountered Issues 

No applicable session types 

Activity notifications are only available for Pigeonholes with at least one of these session types: Q&A, Open-ended poll, and Survey. If your activity notification for a Pigeonhole is disabled, please check that you have at least one of the applicable session types before activating notifications. 

Unverified email 

Your email must be verified before being able to receive email notifications.

Event is not Live or Upcoming 

Email notifications are not available for Expired and Ended Pigeonholes.
