Adding a Q&A to your Pigeonhole allows participants to submit questions asynchronously before, during, or even after a presentation or event. It helps create a more engaging and interactive experience for both audiences and speakers.
For audiences, a Q&A provides a voice to ask questions, share perspectives, and seek clarification. For speakers, it offers an opportunity to understand audience expectations, tailor discussions to their interests, and extend conversations beyond the live session. Together, these benefits foster two-way communication and make audience participation more meaningful.
How does Q&A work in Pigeonhole Live?
Participants can submit questions through the Audience Web App, using a link or QR code to access the session. They can also vote on submitted questions to help highlight those of greatest interest.
Hosts and moderators can review questions, select which ones to address, and display questions on the Projector Panel. Depending on your settings, you can also enable anonymous submissions, moderate questions before they appear to the audience, and provide text answers to unanswered questions after the session.
Best practices for running a Q&A
- Collect questions early: Allow participants to submit questions during a presentation or before the session begins.
- Use question voting: Let attendees vote on questions to help speakers prioritise topics of interest.
- Enable anonymity when appropriate: Give participants the option to ask questions without revealing their identity.
- Use question moderation: Review submissions before displaying them to keep the discussion focused and relevant.
- Organise questions with tags: Group questions by topic to make them easier for hosts and moderators to manage.
Adding a Q&A to your Pigeonhole
You can add a Q&A to either an Event Pigeonhole or a Presentation Pigeonhole.
An Event Pigeonhole lets you schedule a Q&A session as part of your event agenda, making it suitable for conferences, panel discussions, and other scheduled sessions.
A Presentation Pigeonhole has a pinned Q&A by default, allowing participants to submit questions throughout a presentation.
Choose the format that best fits your event and how you want to collect and address audience questions.
