If you encounter a “Maximum login sessions reached” prompt, this means that you are signed-in on three (3) instances, which is the maximum number of active sessions allowed.
Subsequent login attempts will encounter the prompt message to log out of an existing session.
Why am I seeing this?
To help keep your account secure and give you more control over where you're logged in, we now limit each account to three active sessions at a time. An active session is every login on the Pigeonhole Live Dashboard, login on Admin or Moderator panels, or through Event Collaboration links that are limited to Workspace members only.
This includes:
- Web browsers (e.g. Chrome, Firefox, Safari)
- Devices (e.g. laptop, tablet, phone)
- Event collaboration links. If you are sharing links with Workspace members only, your collaborator will only be able to log in on 3 instances.
How to regain access
When you see this message, you’ll be prompted to log out of an existing session before you can continue. Here's what you can do:
- Log out from all other sessions
- Select specific sessions to close
Select one or more sessions to log out of, and hit Log out to proceed.
Best Practices for account login
- Always log out on shared or public devices.
- If something looks unfamiliar, change your password and log out from all sessions immediately.
