Session controls on the Admin Panel

You can access some key control functions and event statistics that are available on your Workspace from the Admin Panel so you can easily manage your event and adjust settings on the fly during the event. The session controls available will depend on the Pigeonhole plan type. 

How to access session controls? 

To access the session controls, enter a session from the Agenda page and click on the Controls icon at the top right of the Admin Panel.

In the sidebar, you will be able to view:

  • Session level statistics (statistics displayed depends on session type)
  • Any parent or nested sessions for that session 

You can also: 

  • Adjust session start and end times or set new ones
  • Manage session settings such as accepting new questions, question filtering, comment filtering etc 
  • Hide and unhide sessions

How to adjust session time? 

For sessions that have not started

The session time with a countdown timer to the start time is displayed right on top of the side bar. You can click on the Start now button on the right to start the session immediately or click on the drop-down menu next to it to Change start time or Change end time. 3_Session_controls_on_the_Admin_Panel.png

Once you click on the option to change the start/end time, simply select the date and time on the picker and select Confirm.4_Session_controls_on_the_Admin_Panel.png

For sessions that have started

The session time with a countdown timer to the end of the session is displayed right on top of the side bar. You can click on the Change end time button on the right and quickly select “+ 15 min”, “+ 30 min” or “+ 1 hour”, to your end time. 5_Session_controls_on_the_Admin_Panel.png

If you want to set a custom end time, select Set end time, pick the date and time on the picker and select Confirm. 6_Session_controls_on_the_Admin_Panel.png

You can also choose to end the session immediately by selecting End now.

Once you submit, you will see a confirmation message that the start/end time has been updated.

How to adjust session level settings? 

The sidebar also allows you to control selected session level settings by turning them on and off quickly anytime during the session. The settings available will depend on the Pigeonhole type and vary from one session to another.

How to manage related nested or parent sessions?

If the session you are in has a parent or nested child session, it will be displayed at the bottom of the sidebar.

You can view the number of participants for the related sessions on the right-hand side of the session name. You can also hide or unhide the session by clicking on the eye icon next to the number of participants.

To navigate to the session, simply click on the parent or nested session’s name.
