What is whitelisting?

A whitelist (allowlist) is a cybersecurity strategy that approves a list of email addresses, IP addresses, domain names or applications, while denying all others.

In order to maintain a smooth browsing experience, it is advisable to whitelist trusted URLs for links that redirect your users outside of your organisation's site. Administrators have to tailor-make whitelists in advance based on their unique wants and needs. This means URLs that are not on the list are blocked.
