Tablets are a great way to showcase your product and to engage and interact with your event attendees. They can be set up at a Kiosk and placed at exhibition booths, or mounted along the walls of the exhibition halls. But the last thing that you wish for is for your guests to exit the application it was intended for, and start browsing or playing games instead. With Guided Access, you can prevent such incidents by temporarily disabling buttons and areas of the screen that are not necessary to perform the task.
As the most commonly used tablets are iPads, we will cover how to enable Guided Access on your iOS device here:
- From your home screen, navigate to Settings › General › Accessibility › Guided Access
- Turn Guided Access ON
- Set a passcode
- Set whether the device can go to sleep during a session
