Increasing the character limit to 400 characters in Q&A and Poll: Open-ended Sessions

What are the character limits? 

The character limits in Q&A and Poll: Open-ended Sessions are the maximum number of letters, symbols and spaces allowed in a question or answer, respectively. 

The default character limit across all Sessions is 200 characters, which is recommended to keep the question or answer focused. The Admin can increase the character limit to 400 characters, which is recommended for more complex questions and answers. 

Increasing the character limit from your dashboard

For Q&A Sessions: 

1. Go to More settings, then click Session Settings. 
2. Next, choose Q&A. 
3. Go to Question length and click Long (400 characters). 
4. Click Save.

5. You will receive a prompt saying “Q&A session setting updated” 

For Poll: Open-Ended Sessions: 

1. Go to More settings and click Session Settings. 
2. Next, choose Open-ended poll.
3. Go to Answer length and click Long (400 characters).
4. Click Save.

• The expanded view will take more screen space and push the other questions, comments or answers further down.
• You can only collapse the full question, comment or answer by clicking the refresh button on your browser. 
• You cannot exceed 400 characters.
